Python Developer – Spark – Flask – Data Distribution – Top Hedge Fund

I am collaborating with a leading global hedge fund seeking a Python Developer of exceptional ability for a unique role within the London office. My client has around £45bn in assets under management, focusing on equities – they are truly one of the strongest hedge funds around.

An exceptional Python Developer would come on board and work alongside the Quant Engineering team. The initial focus of the role will be on the Options/Vol team, but beyond that there will be work on Machine Learning and utilising Kubernetes within a cloud architecting infrastructure.

This role would suit a Python enthusiast with a proven track record of developing at the highest standard.

In addition, you will be an excellent communicator. You’ll need to be able to deliver all aspects of the projects unassisted, working without supervision in a fast paced and dynamic environment..

What’s Required:

  • Command of Python programming language and a minimum 5 years commercial experience
  • Experience of libraries/frameworks such as; Airflow, Dask, Xarray, Pandas, Numpy, Pyarrow or similar
  • Deep knowledge of Parallel Processing techniques
  • Experience of Distributed Systems
  • Familiarity of cloud architecture and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with S3
  • Familiarity of SQL is advantageous

The salary for this role will be market leading to match the high standards expected for the successful candidate.
