Job details:
Migrate on-premise Oracle to AWS Aurora
Role Responsibilities
Plan, design migration of On premise Oracle database to AWS Aurora MySQL
Responsible to plan and conduct PoC on DB migration as required
Provision database instances, in clustered and non-clustered configurations
Ensure/DB code is migrated and validated. Perform manual code changes as needed
Preform pre and post validation checks to ensure migration accuracy
Performance optimization, tuning and re-engineering as required
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
Willingness to travel domestic as well as international
Prepare documentations and specifications
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Key Qualifications
Experience working in MySQL, Oracle and migrating large scale DB Data Oracle OnPremise to AWS Aurora MySQL
Must have experience with DataBase Migration, design and implementation on AWS Aurora architectures and configurations.
Must have experience planning and conducting migrations to AWS MySQL,Aurora
Should have experience using AWS tools (AWS Migration Service, Schema Conversion Tool)
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
Excellent client handling/communication skill
Team player with excellent co-ordination and interaction with other team members and key stakeholders
Preferred experience with Cloud Migration Framework, S3, EC2 interfaces
Experience with replication configuration in MySQL
Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL Statements, Stored Procedures and Functions.
Experience in performance optimization techniques.
Necessary Skills/Attributes
5+ years of overall experience
Atleast 1 AWS Aurora (MySQL) migration implementation or alternatively any migration experience from on-premise Oracle to cloud database
Preferred development experience in in MySQL
